Terms of Use.
01. Acceptance of Terms
By using MovieMatch, you agree to these terms. The service is provided 'as is'. We help you choose movies but are not responsible for their content or availability on third-party platforms.
If you do not agree with the terms, please stop using the service. It is important to us that all users understand the terms of use of MovieMatch.
02. Account and Security
You are responsible for the security of your account credentials. MovieMatch reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account in case of suspicious activity or violation of these Terms.
You agree not to share access to your account with third parties. If you discover unauthorized access, contact us immediately.
03. Subscriptions and Payments
Access to advanced features (Party Mode, advanced filters) requires a Premium subscription. Payments are processed via Stripe. Your subscription will automatically renew until you cancel it in your profile settings. Canceling your subscription stops future charges but retains your Premium access until the end of the current paid billing period.
04. Refund Policy
All payments are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partially used subscription periods, except where required by applicable law in your jurisdiction.
If you experienced technical issues that made Premium features unavailable, contact us within 7 days — we will review each case individually.
05. Intellectual Property
All movie-related materials are copyrighted by their respective owners. MovieMatch uses open data and the TMDB (The Movie Database) API for informational purposes. Names and logos are trademarks of their respective companies.
The design, code, and original content of MovieMatch are our intellectual property. Copying without permission is prohibited.
06. Restrictions and Prohibited Actions
It is strictly prohibited to use automated scripts (scrapers, bots) to collect data from our site, attempt to hack the system, share a Premium account with third parties, or use the service commercially without our consent. Violations will result in a permanent ban with no refunds.
07. Limitation of Liability
MovieMatch does not guarantee 100% uninterrupted operation of algorithms or servers. We are not liable for any indirect damages or data loss resulting from the use of our service.
MovieMatch is not a streaming platform and is not responsible for the availability, quality, or content of movies on third-party services (Netflix, Megogo, Rezka, etc.).
08. User Content
By uploading an avatar or entering a profile name, you confirm that you have rights to that content and that it does not violate copyright, is not offensive or illegal. MovieMatch reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms.
09. Service Changes
MovieMatch reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part of it) at any time without prior notice. For significant changes affecting paid subscriptions, we will notify users in advance.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from the use of the service will be resolved through negotiation. If a pre-trial resolution is not possible, disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable procedural law.
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be replaced by a valid one that most closely matches the original intent of the parties.
